1991 Documented reliquary theca with relics of Bl. Giovanni Liccio & 2 Martyrs of Vietnam: Sts. Dominic Doan Xuyen, Francis Chieu Van Do

Round yellow-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relics of two Vietnamese martyr-saints canonized in 1988 by Pope John Paul II as part of the group of 117 Vietnamese martyrs: Saint Dominic Doan Xuyen M.O.P.and Saint Francis Chieu Van Do, and a relic of the Blessed Giovanni Liccio O.P.  The relics are affixed to a blue silk ground decorated by silver wire and identified in Latin on a typeset cedulae labels.  On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Dominican Order. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued and sealed in 1991 by the Postulator General of the Order responsible for the Causes of Canonization. 

Saint Dominic Doan Xuyen M.O.P. (†1839) was a Dominican and martyr in Vietnam who was beheaded with Saint Thomas Du. Pope John Paul II canonized him in 1988, as part of the group of 117 Vietnamese martyrs. His feast day is celebrated on November 26th.

Saint Francis Chieu Van Do (Phanxicô Ðo Van Chieu)(†1838) was a Dominican and martyr in Vietnam who was born into a Christian family. He became a priest and joined the Dominicans. Layman catechist in the apostolic vicariate of East Tonkin (modern Vietnam). He devoted himself to helping missionary priests. Aide to bishop Saint Dominic Henares de Zafra Cubero, with whom he was arrested and murdered in the persecutions of emperor Minh Mang. Pope John Paul II canonized him in 1988, as part of the group of 117 Vietnamese martyrs. His feast day is celebrated on November 24th.

Blessed Giovanni Liccio O.P. (†1511) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest and a professed member of the Dominican Order. Liccio was a noted miracle worker and a pious preacher who was also known for his simple and ascetic manner of living. Liccio's miracles earned him the reputation of being a saint and devotion to him throughout the Sicilian cities spread. He was beatified in 1753 by Pope Benedict XIV and his feast day is celebrated on November 14th.
