A pair of uncommon small oval hand-carved icons - pilgrim's souvenirs from the Sergiev-Trinity Monastery in the Moscow region. One depicts the founder of the monastery, St. Sergius of Radonezh, and the second one St. Sergius of Radonezh by the bodies of his deceased parents. Such items were carved by the monks throughout the 19th century to be retailed to the pilgrims coming to the monastery.
