Blessed Gregorio Grassi (†1900) was an Italian Franciscan friar, bishop, and martyr. Joining the Franciscans in 1848, he was ordained a priest in 1856 and sent to Taiyuan, China, in 1860. As bishop of North Shanxi, he served as Mission Promoter and orphanage director. During the Boxer Rebellion, he refused to flee, embracing martyrdom. On July 9, 1900, he was arrested, tortured, and executed by sword in the Taiyuan massacre alongside other missionaries. He was beatified in 1946 by Pope Pius XII, and his feast day is celebrated on July 9.

Round yellow-fronted white-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of Blessed Gregorio Grassi. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a manuscript cedula label as B. Gregorii Grassi (Blessed Gregorio Grassi). On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Dominican Order. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued and signed in 1995 by the Postulator General of the Order responsible for the cause of beatification and canonization.
