1993 Documented theca with relic of St. John of Matha, cofounder of the Order of the Most Holy Trinity

Round yellow-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of Saint John of Matha. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as S. Ioan de Matha C.(Saint John of Matha, Confessor). On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Order of the Most Holy Trinity. The reliquary is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued by the Postulator General of the Order in 1993.

Saint John of Matha, OSsT (†1213), was a French Catholic priest and cofounder of the Order of the Most Holy Trinity, initially dedicated to ransoming Christians who had been captured by marauders from North Africa. John traveled to Tunisia himself and brought back countless Christian slaves. He was canonized in 1666 by Pope Alexander VII, and his Feast Day is celebrated on 17 December.
