Documented reliquary theca with relic of Maronite St. Nimatullah Kassab Al-Hardini OLM

Rare round white-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of a Maronite Saint Nimatullah Kassab Al-Hardini. A relic is affixed to a petalled-flower-shaped paper on a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a bi-color typeset cedula label as Ex Ossibus S. Nimatullah K. Al-Hardini (of the bone of Saint Nimatullah Kassab Al-Hardini).  On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Postulator General of the Lebanese Maronite Order. The theca is accompanied by the matching authentics document issued and signed by the Postulator General on December 14th, 2007 (the day of his Feast).

This item is appropriate for private and public veneration. A photograph of the document is available upon request.

Saint Nimatullah Kassab OLM (†1858), also known as "Al-Hardini" in reference to his birth village, was a Lebanese monk, priest, and scholar of the Maronite Church. Kassab is believed to have performed many miracles during his life due to his deep spirituality and high virtues. He is commended for having a radiant soul; it was said that he was deeply united to his creator. "The Saint of Kfifan" was stated to have the gift of prophesy and hence became known as "a man of vision." He is considered a holy patron of Beirut, Lebanon. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on 10 May 1998 and canonized on Sunday, 16 May 2004. The Maronite Church celebrates his feast day on December 14.
