1993 Vatican documented reliquary theca with relics of 2 Popes: Pope Sixtus II & Pope Sixtus III

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus  (of the bone) relics of two pre-Schism canonized Martryr Popes: Pope Sixtus II and Pope Sixtus III The relics are affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on typeset cedulae labels as S. Xysti II P.M. // S. Xysti III P.M. (Saint Sixtus II, Pope & Martyr // Saint Sixtus III, Pope & Martyr).  On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of Monsignor Camillo Ruini, an Italian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church who served as Vicar General of Rome (1991–2008). The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued in 1993 by Msgr. Ruini.

Pope Sixtus II (also written as Pope Xystus II) (†258), was bishop of Rome from 31 August 257 until his death. He was martyred along with seven deacons, including Lawrence of Rome, during the persecution of Christians by the Emperor Valerian. He is venerated as a saint in the Eastern Orthodox Church as one of the pre-Schism "Orthodox Popes of Rome". His feast day is 6/7 August.

Pope Sixtus III (†440) was the bishop of Rome from 31 July 432 to his death. His ascension to the papacy is associated with a period of increased construction in the city of Rome. He is venerated as a saint in the Eastern Orthodox Church as one of the pre-Schism "Orthodox Popes of Rome". His feast day is celebrated by Catholics on 28 March.
