Round yellow-metal glass-fronted reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of the Blessed Juan María de la Cruz, S.C.I.The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Polish on a typeset cedula label as Ex Oss.B. Juan Maria De La Cruz, Mart. (of the bone of the Blessed Juan María de la Cruz, Martyr). On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart (also known as The Dehonians). The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued in 2009 by the Postulator General responsible for the Cause of Beatification and Canonization.
Blessed Juan María de la Cruz, S.C.I. (†1936) was a Spanish Roman Catholic priest venerated by the Roman Catholic Church as a martyr. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 2001, together with his fellow martyrs killed in the Spanish Civil War. His feast day is celebrated on 26 November.
