He was martyred, alongside some of his students, and is considered a saint by the Roman Catholic, the Anglican, the Eastern Orthodox, and the Oriental Orthodox Churches.
Saint Cecilia was a Roman martyr venerated in Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, and some Lutheran churches, such as the Church of Sweden. She became the patroness of music and musicians, it being written that, as the musicians played at her wedding, Cecilia "sang in her heart to the Lord". Musical compositions are dedicated to her, and her feast, on 22 November, is the occasion of concerts and musical festivals. St Cecilia is one of several virgin martyrs commemorated by name in the Canon of the Mass in the Latin Church.

Cap., (Italian: Giuseppe da Leonessa) (†1612) is a saint of the Catholic Church and a Capuchin monk who preached to the poor and reconciled feuding families as well as warring cities which had been at odds for years. Saint Angelo of Acri (†1739), known as the "Angel of Peace" and the "Apostle of the South," was an Italian Roman Catholic priest and a professed member of the Franciscan Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. Falcone had a rough call to religious life after several entries and exits into the order and he later served as a noted preacher across southern Italian cities after his first few sermons attracted little following. Falcone became known for ecstasies during the celebration of Mass and was known for converting the hearts of thousands when he went about preaching. The friar possessed the gifts of visions and bilocation. He received beatification from Pope Leo XII in 1825 after being titled as a Servant of God in 1778 under Pope Pius VI and Venerable under Pope Pius VII on 17 June 1821. Pope Francis approved his canonization and the canonization was celebrated in Saint Peter's Square on 15 October 2017. He is a patron of Acri and of missionaries.
