The relic is affixed to a silk background and identified on a manuscript cedula label as S. Pauli Ap. (Saint Paul, Apostle). On the back, the theca is secured by a seal of red Spanish wax with an imprint of a coat of arms of Giorgio Maria de Lascaris C.R. (†1795), Titular Patriarch of Jerusalem (1762-1795) and consultant to the Congregation for Indulgences and Sacred Relics in the Roman Curia responsible he task of managing the granting of authentication to the relics.
