Round glass-fronted reliquary theca housing the second-class ex tunica (from the coat) relic of Saint Francis of Assisi. The relic is centered on a multi-colored silk background decorated by silver wire ornamentation and identified on a paper cedula label as Ex tunica. / S. Fran. Assisis C. (from the tunica of Saint Francis of Assisi, Confessor). On the back, under a protective cap with an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the theca is secured by a perfectly preserved seal of red Spanish wax with a clear imprint of a coat of arms of an unidentified Catholic Bishop.
