The relic came in. I wanted to cry. My heart was so overwhelmed with joy. On my 25th anniversary the Discalsed Monastery celebrated mass with me in their cloister. The Mother Prioress with the sisters came be a hard bound copy of his writings and his life. I feel it was the hand of Blessed Francisco was moving them. And with this holy relic he is moving me. I will do a more intensive study of him. I will place his relic in the large reliquary I have with John of the Cross, Teresa of Avila, and Therese of Liseaux. He will be at home.

The Old Believer icon of Our Lady of the Unburnt Thornbush is exquisite. It arrived this morning and is now hanging in my icon corner, alongside the other beautiful antique icons that I have acquired from the Russian Store.

Reliquary theca with relics of Sepulchre of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Oval silver glass-fronted theca housing a particle relic from the Sepulchre of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The relic is affixed to a red background and identified on a typeset cedula label as Sep[ulchre] B.V.M. On the back, the theca is secured by a seal of red Spanish wax with an imprint of a coat of arms of Cardinal Pietro Respighi (†1913), Vicar General of Rome (1900-1913).

The Sepulchre of the Blessed Virgin Mary is now housed inside of the Church of the Sepulchre of Saint Mary at the foot of Mount of Olives, near Jerusalem. The stone bench on which the Virgin's body was laid out, now encased in glass. The Armenian Patriarchate Armenian Apostolic Church of Jerusalem and Greek Orthodox Church of Jerusalem are in joint possession of the shrine.
