The relic came in. I wanted to cry. My heart was so overwhelmed with joy. On my 25th anniversary the Discalsed Monastery celebrated mass with me in their cloister. The Mother Prioress with the sisters came be a hard bound copy of his writings and his life. I feel it was the hand of Blessed Francisco was moving them. And with this holy relic he is moving me. I will do a more intensive study of him. I will place his relic in the large reliquary I have with John of the Cross, Teresa of Avila, and Therese of Liseaux. He will be at home.

Reliquary theca with relic of Saint Francis of Assisi

Small crystal-fronted silver reliquary theca housing reic of Saint Francis of Assisi. The relic is affixed to a background of red silk and surrounded by twisted wire ornamentation. It is labeled on a paper cedula as S. Franci Ass and secured on the back with red Spanish wax with a coat of arms of a Catholic Bishop.

Saint Francis of Assisi (†1226), was an Italian Roman Catholic friar and preacher who founded the men's Order of Friars Minor, the women's Order of Saint Clare, the Third Order of Saint Francis and the Custody of the Holy Land. Francis is one of the most venerated religious figures in history. He is a Holy Patron of animals; the environment; Italy; merchants; San Francisco, California, Naga City, Cebu, tapestry workers.
