Французский реликварий с частицами от Древа Истинного Животворящего Креста

A large cruciform reliquary monstrance of lacquered wood decorated with a silver bronze figure of crucified Christ. A removable silver theca housing particles from the wood from the True Cross of Jesus Christ is placed in the round cavity at the base of the monstrance. The substantial relics are displayed in a cruciform shape surrounded by gilt paper ornamentation and are identified in French on a manuscript cedula label as Bois de la Vraie Croix (Wood from the True Cross). On its back, the theca is secured by an undisturbed seal of red Spanish wax with an imprint of a coat of arms of an unidentified Roman Catholic Archbishop.
