Russian Icon - the Resurrection of Christ (Feast of Pascha)

This icon depicts the glorious Feast of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, called Pascha — the greatest feast of the Orthodox Church. In the center, Christ stands triumphant upon the door to His sepulcher, blessing the world with His right hand and holding the victorious Cross in His left. To his left an angel is kneeling in adoration. In the distance are shown figures of three Myrrh-bearing Women. The icon is inscribed on the upper edge in Old Slavonic: “The Resurrection of Christ.”
