Glass-fronted silvered metal reliquary theca housing first class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of Saint Bassianus. The relic is affixed to the backround of gold silk and identified on a paper cedula as Ex Ossibus / S. Bastiani Ep. Laud. c(onfessor). The theca is secured on the back with a seal of red Spanish wax with inprint of a coat of arms of a Catholic Abbot.
Saint Bassianus Bishop of Lodi (Italian: San Bassiano)(†ca. 409) was an Italian saint, the patron saint of Lodi and Pizzighettone in Italy.
