Reliquary theca with relics of St. Joseph of Leonessa, Capuchin monk
Oval glass-fronted metal theca housing a second-class ex cilitio (of the monk's hairshirt) pre-canonization relic of Saint Joseph of Leonessa. A substantial relic is affixed to a red silk background surrounded by silver wire and gilt paperole ornamentation and identified in Latin on a manuscript cedula label as De cilitio Habitue B. Joseph a Leonessa (from the hairshirt of the Blessed Joseph of Leonessa). On the back, the theca is secured by a seal of red Spanish wax with an imprint of a coat of arms of a Roman Catholic Bishop.
