Small round glass-fronted silver reliquary theca housing second-class ex capsa (from the sarcophagus) relics of Saint Maria Domenica Mazzarello. The relic is affixed to a red silk background, surrounded by gilt paperolle ornamentation, and identified on a typeset cedula label as S. Geminiani Ep. Modena C. (Ex capsa / S. M. Mazzarello)On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured by a seal of red wax with a partially preserved imprint of a coat of arms of the Silesian Order.

Saint Maria Mazzarello (†1881) was the Italian founder of the Salesian Sisters. She was beatified on November 20, 1938, and canonized on June 24, 1951. Her incorrupt body is venerated in the Basilica of Our Lady Help of Christians, in Turin, Italy. A church in southeast Rome bears her name, Santa Maria Domenica Mazzarello. Her feast is commemorated on May 13.
