Documented reliquary theca with relic of Maronite St. Charbel Makhlouf, O.L.M

Rare round white-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of a Maronite Saint Charbel Makhlouf. A relic is affixed to a star-shaped paper on a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as Ex Ossibus Sancti Charbel Makhlouf(of the bone of Saint Charbel Makhlouf).  On the back, under a protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Postulator General of the Lebanese Maronite Order. The theca is accompanied by the matching authentics document issued and signed by the Postulator General on July 24th, 2006 (the day of his Feast).

Saint Charbel Makhlouf, O.L.M. (†1898), also known as Saint Charbel Makhlouf or Sharbel Maklouf, was a Maronite monk and priest from Lebanon. During his life he obtained a wide reputation for holiness and he has been canonized by the Catholic Church. He is known among Lebanese Christians as the Miracle Monk of Lebanon. His followers say they call him this because of the miraculous healings they receive in answer to prayers to him, especially those said at his tomb, and for his ability to unite Christians and Muslims. His tomb is located at the Monastery of Saint Maron in Annaya. He was Beatified in 1965 and Canonized by Pope Paul VI on 9 October 1977. His feast is celebrated on 3rd Sunday in July (Maronite Calendar) and July 24 (Roman Calendar).
