2003 Documented reliquary theca with relic of St. Maria Cristina of the Immaculate Conception Brando, founder of the Congregation of the Sisters, Expiatory Victims of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex corpore (of the flesh) pre canonization relic of Saint Maria Cristina of the Immaculate Conception Brando. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a bicolor typeset cedula label as Ex Corpore B.M. Christianae Brando (of the flesh of Blessed Maria Cristina of the Immaculate Conception Brando). On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ, (commonly known as the Passionists), The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued on April 27, 2003 (the very day of her beatification) by the Postulator General of the Order responsible for the cause of beatification and canonization. 

Saint Maria Cristina of the Immaculate Conception Brando (†1906) was an Italian nun and foundress. Born in Naples to a wealthy family, she lost her mother shortly after birth and showed early signs of a religious vocation, making a private vow of chastity at age 12. After brief attempts to enter the Poor Clares and Sacramentine Sisters hindered by poor health, she founded the Congregation of the Sisters, Expiatory Victims of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in Casoria. The institute combined perpetual Eucharistic adoration with the Christian education of children. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on 27 April 2003 and canonized by Pope Francis on 17 May 2015. Her feast day is 20 January.
