1995 Documented reliquary theca with relic of St. Ignatius Delgado y Cebrian, Martyr of Vietnam

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of Saint Ignatius Delgado y Cebrian. The relic is affixed to a silk ground surrounded by silver wire and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as S. Ignat. Delgad. Ep. M.O.P.  (Saint Ignatius Delgado, Bishop, Martyr of the Dominican Order). On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Dominican Order. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued and signed in 1995 by the Postulator General of the Order responsible for the cause of beatification and canonization. 

Saint Ignatius Delgado y Cebrian, OP (†1838), a bishop from Spain, was one of the 117 Vietnamese Martyrs (also known as the Martyrs of Indochina), who were beatified by Pope Leo XIII in 1906 and canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1988. Father Ignatius Delgado, was captured in the village of Can Lao, put in a cage on public display for ridicule and abuse, and died of hunger and exposure while waiting for execution.
