1995 Documented reliquary theca with relic of Blessed Claudio Granzotto O.F.M.

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the second-class ex Habitu (of the habit) relic of Blessed Claudio Granzotto. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as BEATI CLAUDII (Blessed Claudio). On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Order of Friars Minor (commonly known as the Franciscans), The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued in 1995 by the Postulator General of the Order responsible for the cause of beatification and canonization. 

Blessed Claudio Granzotto (†1947) was an Italian Franciscan friar and renowned sculptor. He worked as a farmer before studying art in Venice. He entered the Order of Friars Minor in 1933, taking the name Claudio, and devoted his sculptures—mostly religious figures—to evangelization while serving the poor. He died of a brain tumor on the Feast of the Assumption, August 15, 1947, embracing his sufferings. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II on November 20, 1994 and His liturgical feast day is March 23.
