1994 Documented reliquary theca with relic of Blessed Elisabetta (Elisabeth) Canori Mora OSST

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as B. E. Canori Mora. (Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora). On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Order of the Most Holy Trinity and of the Captives (commonly known as the Trinitarians). The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued on April 24, 1994 (the very day of her beatification) by the Postulator General of the Order responsible for the cause of beatification and canonization. 

Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora (†1825) was born in Rome to a wealthy, devout noble family. She showed early intelligence, deep interior life, and a spirit of penance. In 1796, she married lawyer Cristoforo Mora. The marriage soon became abusive as he neglected her and squandered their fortune, leaving her in poverty with two daughters. As a Third Order Trinitarian tertiary, she heroically offered her sufferings for her husband’s conversion, sinners, the Church, and the Pope. A mystic gifted with visions, prophecies, and invisible stigmata, she lived profound charity and Eucharistic devotion. She died at 50; her husband later converted and became a priest. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on April 24, 1994, her feast is commemorated on February 5.
