1993 Documented reliquary with relic of St. John Baptist of the Conception OSST (St. Juan Bautista de la Concepción)

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of Saint John Baptist of the Conception. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as S. Joan a Concep Ref. O.SS.T. (Saint John Baptist of the Conception, Reformer of the Trinitarian Order). On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Order of the Most Holy Trinity and of the Captives (commonly known as the Trinitarian Order). The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued and signed in 1993 by the Postulator General of the Order responsible for the cause of beatification and canonization. 

Saint John Baptist of the Conception (also known as Saint Juan Bautista de la Concepción or Juan García López-Rico) (†1613) was a Spanish reformer of the Trinitarian Order. Showing early ascetic zeal and devotion influenced by a visit from Saint Teresa of Ávila in his youth, he studied philosophy with Discalced Carmelites and theology. He joined the Trinitarian Order in 1580, professing in 1581, and became a renowned preacher and mystic. Seeking stricter observance of the primitive rule, he initiated the reform leading to the Discalced Trinitarians (approved 1599), adopting the name "of the Conception" on the Immaculate Conception feast that year. He founded houses, emphasized prayer, poverty, fasting, and missionary ransom work, authoring prolific mystical and theological works. He was beatified 1819 by Pius VII and canonized May 25, 1975, by Paul VI. His Feast Day is commemorated on February 14.
