1993 Documented reliquary theca with relics of the Blessed Lucrezia Elena (Florida) Cevoli

Back

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex cinere (of the bodily ashes) relic of the Blessed Florida Cevoli. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as B. Floridae Cevoli (Blessed Florida Cevoli.). On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued on 16 May 1993 (on the very day of her beatification) by the Postulator General of the Order.

Blessed Lucrezia Elena Cevoli (†1767) was an Italian Roman Catholic professed religious of the Capuchin Poor Clares who assumed the name of "Florida" after she joined religious life. She served as the order's abbess after the death of Veronica Giuliani. She devoted her energies to the maintenance of the order in Umbria and carried out her assigned tasks with a zeal and diligence. She was beatified on 16 May 1993 by Pope John Paul II. She is a holy patron of Abbesses and her Feastday is commemorated on 12 June.
