1993 Documented reliquary theca with relics of St. Ludovico da Casoria, founder of the Grey Friars of Charity & the Grey Sisters of St. Elizabeth

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus  (of a bone) pre-canonization relic of St. Ludovico da Casoria. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as B. Ludovici a Cas. (Blessed Ludovico da Casoria) On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Order of Friars Minor. The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued on 18 April 1993 (the very day of his beatification) by the Postulator General of the Order.

Saint Ludovico da Casoria, O.F.M. (†1885) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest and a professed member of the Order of Friars Minor. He was a renowned social reformer who founded the Grey Friars of Charity and the Grey Sisters of Saint Elizabeth. He was beatified on 18 April 1993 by Pope John Paul IIPope Francis canonized him as a saint of the Roman Catholic Church on 23 November 2014; he remains a patron of Casoria and his religious orders.
