1993 Documented reliquary theca with relic of Saint Ezequiél Moreno y Díaz OAR

Round glass-fronted yellow-metal reliquary theca housing the first-class ex ossibus (of the bone) pre-canonization relic of Saint Ezequiél Moreno y Díaz. The relic is affixed to a red silk ground and identified in Latin on a typeset cedula label as B. Ezerquiel Moreno (Blessed Ezequiél Moreno). On the back, under the protective cap, the theca is secured with a seal of red Spanish wax bearing an imprint of a coat of arms of the Order of the Brothers of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel, (commonly known as the Carmelites), The relic is accompanied by the original matching authentics document issued in 1993 by the Postulator General of the Order responsible for the cause of beatification and canonization. 

Saint Ezequiél Moreno y Díaz, O.A.R. (†1906), was a Spanish Augustinian Recollect missionary and bishop. Born in La Rioja, he entered the Order of Augustinian Recollects in 1864 and was ordained in Manila in 1871. He served as a missionary in the Philippines and later in Colombia, where he became Vicar Apostolic of Casanare and then Bishop of Pasto from 1895. Known for his zeal, charity, and defense of the faith amid difficulties, he contracted cancer and returned to Spain, dying on 19 August 1906 in Monteagudo. Beatified by Pope Paul VI on 1 November 1975 and canonized by Pope John Paul II on 11 October 1992 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic he is the patron of cancer patients. His feast day is 19 August.
