Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora (†1825) was born in Rome to a wealthy, devout noble family showied early intelligence, interior life, and penance. In 1796, at age 21, she married lawyer Cristoforo Mora. Though initially happy, the marriage turned abusive: her husband became neglectful and squandered their fortune, leaving her in poverty with two daughters. As a Third Order Trinitarian tertiary, she endured sufferings heroically, offering them in prayer for her husband's conversion, sinners, the Church, and the Pope. A mystic with visions, prophecies, and invisible stigmata, she lived profound charity, patience, and Eucharistic devotion. When she died at age 50, her husband converted and became a priest. She was beatified April 24, 1994, by Pope John Paul II as a model of marital fidelity and redemptive suffering, her feast Day is commemorated on February 5.
