1989 Documented medal & relics of St. Angela of the Cross (Ángela de la Cruz), founder of the Sisters of the Company of the Cross
The plastic case housing the second-class ex vestis (of the vestment) pre-canonization relic of St. Angela of the Cross (Ángela de la Cruz). The relic is closed in a plastic sleeve with the authentic document issued in 1989 (the year of Her beatification) by the Postulator General for the Cause of Beatification and Canonization. The relic is accompanied a double-sided medal with a portrait of the Blessed.
St. Angela of the Cross (Ángela de la Cruz) (†1932) was a Spanish religious sister and the foundress of the Sisters of the Company of the Cross, a Roman Catholic religious institute dedicated to helping the abandoned poor and the ill with no one to care for them. She was beatified on 5 November 1982 by Pope John Paul II in Seville and declared a saint on 4 May 2003 by Pope John Paul II in the Plaza de Colón in Madrid.
